It’s officially December and that means the holiday spirit is in full swing for all you Christmas lovers! The team at Savoy Brasserie took loving Christmas to a new level this year. Savoy is officially the home of Ottawa’s Miracle Christmas-themed cocktail pop-up bar. That’s right folks! Miracle is sure to get even the grouchiest grinch in the holiday spirit.
You can take part in the festivities at 334 Richmond Rd in Westboro, but let’s face it, you don’t need directions, we bet you can see the restaurant lit up for miles. Just let the sweet sound of Christmas music, and the glow of Christmas lights guide you. The pop-up bar brings the Christmas festivities to Westboro in a big way. Located on the corner of Richmond and Churchill, Savoy boasts a beautifully decorated exterior complete with a Christmas tree forest & Santa and his reindeer overlooking the Westboro streets. If that wasn’t enough Christmas for you, step inside the doors for a magical experience that would make Santa himself feel right at home. When you walk through the doors, you’ll be impressed by Savoy’s transformation from trendy french brasserie to winter wonderland extravaganza.
Here’s what you need to know about Ottawa’s Official Christmas Hot Spot
Savoy Brasserie is known as a brunch hot spot in Westboro year-round, and they aren’t going to hold out on the brunch enthusiasts during the Christmas season. You can still enjoy brunch throughout the holiday season from 9AM-2PM every day with their full brunch menu and take in the festive atmosphere while you are at it.
Note: **If you are planning on bringing the kids to experience the Christmas wonders, it is best to come during brunch hours while still serving food.**
The “Miracle Hours” – every day from 2PM-2AM between November 25 – January 1st, Savoy Brasserie switches over to the “Miracle Pop Up” cocktail bar. While you cannot order from the restaurant’s food menu during Miracle hours, they offer an impressive cocktail menu of delicious drinks & Christmas snacks during this time. Sip on incredible cocktails while surrounded by the twinkling lights & overload of kitschy holiday décor.
Looking for your next Instagram picture? Snap a pic decked out in Santa’s sleigh – transitioned into a booth making it the best seat in the house.
Due to volume & demand – there will be no reservations made during Miracle hours with the exception of groups of 25+. To book your holiday party reservation you can visit the Miracle at Savoy Website.
How did Miracle Pop-Up come to be?
Miracle Pop Up is a franchise that made its start in New York City in 2014, it has since expanded into over 100 cities worldwide. Every Miracle location pairs up with a local charity to give back to the community. Ottawa Miracle has partnered with The Salvation Army Toy Mountain this year and is donating $1 for every drink sold. So you can justify trying the whole menu – it’s for charity after all.
We wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to try every cocktail as Miracle has crafted and perfected their signature cocktail list over the years so you can be sure that whatever you order will satisfy your taste. The cocktails are Christmas themed right down to their names, featuring cocktails like “Christmapolitan” & “Yippie Ki Yay Mother F****r” that reference various holiday play on words & Christmas movie favourites – if you consider Die Hard a Christmas movie.
All cocktails are served in an Instagram worthy fashion – with original Miracle glassware designed for every drink.
